4 Week Beginners Yoga - Learn All Styles
This slow moving, deep exploratory 4 week course will provide you, the student with the chance to try out all the popular styles we offer here at Sun Moon Yoga. Over the course of 4 weeks we will look at the following styles:
- Week 1 - Slow Flow Yoga - Learn correct alignment in basic postures, the basic Sun Salutation sequence, hold postures longer, simple breathing techniques
- Week 2 - Vinyasa Flow Yoga - Learn full Sun Salutation sequence, learn Warrior Flow Sequence, try different variations of basic postures, connect movement with breath
- Week 3 - Core Flow Yoga - Continue learning Vinyasa Flow Yoga as above, introduction to Pilates breath, neutral & imprinted spine, zip & lock abdominals, learn simple Pilates exercises to focus on core strength, glutes and thighs
- Week 4 - Yang Yin Yoga - Continue learning Vinyasa & Slow Flow Yoga for the first half of the class (Yang), for the last half of the class we will look at basic yin postures, discover the difference between the more active and passive style, learn basic meridians lines and how to move Chi (life force) through the body to bring balance & health to your entire being
This course is perfect for students new to yoga or for those students wishing to revisit the fundamentals. On completion of the course you will have the experience to attend regular drop in classes. All participants may purchase our special offer pass - $59 for 1mth of unlimited classes, receive 10% off your first pass purchased once you complete the deal.
