7 Week Series designed to balance each of the 7 Chakras with Beginner Level Slow Flow, Vinyasa Flow, Fusion Flow & Yang Yin Yoga sequences

According to yoga tradition, the subtle body is a part of you that you can’t see or touch—it’s where your energy flows, which is why it’s also referred to as the energy body. There are seven key points in the subtle body that are thought to be vortexes of energy, known as chakras. When energy becomes blocked in a chakra or wheel of energy, it triggers physical, mental, or emotional imbalances that manifest in symptoms such as anxiety, lethargy, or poor digestion. When a chakra, or wheel of energy is blocked, a well-tuned yoga practice may be helpful to release the prana (energy) through movement. Yoga postures are a great way to release stale or stuck energy from the body because they invite fresh, vital energy back in through poses and the breath. 

Each week - 1 – 7, we will look at a different Chakras, starting with the Root Chakra and working our way up to the Crown Chakra. Each week we explore an energy wheel, yoga postures, its colour, element, mantra and essential oils that can help to balance the energy. Essential oils will be diffused throughout the class, inhaled before opening mediation via your own personal scent tester card. The Yoga Postures will be specifically chosen for each Chakra and will be suitable for Beginners – Intermediate – Slow Flow, Vinyasa Flow, Yoga Pilates Fusion & Yang Yin Yoga classes that include:

  • Chakra Week 1 - Slow Flow - Align & Refine + Basic Sun Salute Sequence + Standing/Seated Postures

  • Chakra Week 2 - Slow Flow - Hip Openers + Flowing and moving within the postures

  • Chakra Week 3 - Yoga Pilates Flow - Core Strength + Twists & Side Bends

  • Chakra Week 4 - Yang Yin - Heart Opening Back Extensions & Shoulder Openers + Deep Counter Stretch Forwards Bends

  • Chakra Week 5 - Yang Yin - Throat Opening Back Extensions + Shoulderstand variations & Breathe Work   

  • Chakra Week 6 - Yang Yin - Upper Body Strength + Deep Yin Postures 

  • Chakra Week 7 - All Styles - Journey Through The Chakras + Mini Headstand Workshop (no pressure to kick up into it if you are not ready) + Mediation

  • Includes 3 free classes to use at any other session on the timetable, all 10 classes must be used up within 1 week of the series finishing
