The season of spring is connected with the element wood and is associated with the Liver and Gallbladder meridians. In ancient China, and many other places on the planet, people observed that the environment changed during the seasons and took note of how animals, plants and the earth adapted themselves accordingly, to live more in balance with the cycles of nature. The human body was seen as a miniature reflection of the cosmos. An entire universe working inside of us. We too have seasons that cycle through. Sometimes we have an exuberant amount of energy like the summer and sometimes we need to rest and recharge like the winter.
Wood is associated with Spring because it is a time of growth, expansion and buoyancy. Like the seed that has been lying dormant in the earth during winter conserving its reserves, in springtime it bounds forward with new intent to bring life to our planet. The wood element is about renewal, awakening and rebirth.
Yin Yoga Benefits:

The session will then close with Estelle and her many instruments taking the stage for a Soulavita Soundscape meditation. During this part of the session you will hear and feel the powerful unique harmonic tones and overtones of these beautiful ancient healing instruments.
As you lay down on your mat, get comfortable and close your eyes the mental chatter in your mind will become quieter as you drift into the sounds and feel the vibrations in every cell of your body which will allow you to let go of new and old stress that is being held in your body. As the stress melts away you become deeply relaxed, this is when the healing journey begins as the soundscape meditation brings your body, mind and soul into harmony, balance and peaceful bliss.
After the soundscape meditation you will feel refreshed and recharged with more energy and clarity of mind giving you fortitude to manifest your desires whilst moving with the flow of life.
